about

A long, long time ago, even before ‘An Electric Storm’, I was working on "Remembered Motion" for ballet Rambert; Choreographed by Jeff Moore, voiced by Ursula and other actors From RSC in my converted bedsit. Recorded sounds of laughing, crying, whispering, screaming etc. Midnight, mixing, when police almost broke the door down. Complaint of girl being "hysterically Raped"!
Next day the guy underneath dies
A few days later the guy next door dies.
Well one was 98 and the other had cancer but that didn't stop everyone saying these new electronic sounds killed them. Like we were Frankenstein and all the villagers had come with pitchforks. We were evicted so damn fast!
Anyway, that's Ursula's voice on the beginning of this experimental track.
Played at numerous gigs, this track has evolved.
This was the Birmingham Seventh wave or London Jazz cafe performance.
